Danny Seidenberg has enjoyed a varied and eclectic musical career moving between classical, jazz and pop styles as a performer, composer, arranger, and educator. He made a solo debut at age 16 with the Pittsburgh Symphony. After attending the Juilliard School, Danny worked in New York for many years playing ballet, Broadway, opera, chamber, studio, and solo. 1000 Nutcrackers, you might say. But he is certainly best known for his 12 years as the violist of the Turtle Island String Quartet. Danny left the quartet in 2003 for a full time tenure as a studio musician in Los Angeles, playing on hundreds of movie and TV scores. He is also an accomplished early music performer, and leads the Chicago based chamber jazz ensemble, UnBande.
